Kari White

Kari White is an Associate Broker with Sunrise Land Co

Kari was raised in La Junta, Colorado where she lives with her husband Trent and their four children. Kari and Trent have agricultural backgrounds, with their families both having small cow-calf operations near La Junta. Kari’s family owned Otteman’s Meat Processing in Flagler, Colorado for over 50 years, and Trent’s family owned White and Son’s Custom Harvest for over 30 years.

Her interest in agriculture led Kari to pursue a bachelor’s in Animal Science from Colorado State University, and a master’s and doctorate in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Kansas State University. She has worked as a geneticist in the beef industry for over 10 years in various roles, most recently as a Genetic Evaluation Scientist for the Agri-genomics company Neogen.

Now that Kari is raising her own family in Southeastern Colorado, she has become active in investing in her local community and wants to see it continue to thrive. Her passion for real estate is driven by the opportunity to facilitate the transfer of land ownership to the next generation. Kari looks forward to working with both landowners and homeowners in her region.

Kari Reents

While not running her own financial consulting company, Creekside Capital, Kari is the secret sauce that makes Sunrise Land Company tick.

Kari was raised on a farm and ranch north of Stratton, Colorado. At an early age, she took an interest in finance and pursued a career in banking. She earned a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Colorado State University, where she also minored in Ag Resource Economics. In 2017, Kari completed a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Colorado.

Kari’s banking career began with the Farm Credit Administration (FCA) in Denver, Colorado. Her position as an Associate Examiner provided the opportunity to travel the U.S. examining Farm Credit banks across the country. In 2012, she moved home to begin working as a Loan Officer for The Eastern Colorado Bank (formerly Kit Carson State Bank). She held the position of Vice President – Lending when she left her banking career of 11 years.

Kari lives on the family farm and ranch with her husband Tyson and their two sons, Creed and Stanlee.
